Team Norway lands in Pune – Day 1, Part 2

With the punjabi stop behind us we loaded back in the mini bus and headed out for an evening at the Hope of Glory Foundation childrens home, a precious kids home nestled in the hills on the outskirts of Pune. HOGF is home to 30 kids ranging in age from 3 to 18 that have been rescued from a life of hopelessness on the streets of their city. On the streets they suffered many terrible atrocities but today they have hope.
Eager smiling faces greeted us as we walked up to the door. With pride, the kids rocked the house with some beautiful Indian dances, heart felt songs, and a time of sharing the dreams they have for their lives. Leaving there tonight we couldn’t help but celebrate that these 30 are able to dream.
Before we left our team sang some special Norwegian songs, made balloon animals, and spent time getting to know the children. It got a little wild, but what do you expect with balloons, bubbles and candy!!
Don’t miss tomorrow…Pune Day 2 at “the Comforter” children’s home.
