Homes of Hope – Mexico

Homes of Hope was birthed in 1991 in response to the needs of the poor in the Northern Baja region of Mexico. From a small beginning in which thirty young people participated in a single house building trip, Homes of Hope today has thousands of volunteers who annually build homes for the most needy in Mexico for less than $4,000 per home. Homes of Hope impacts the lives of thousands of children whose families are home recipients. These children experience benefits in their health and well being due to improved living conditions. A stable home environment provides emotional and economic benefits. Being able to consistently attend school opens doors for their future productivity as citizens in their communities.
